O Christmas Tree

I still have the Christmas tree up. There are still some presents underneath it (opened, of course). Last year at this time our tree was still up as well. I think we took it down on Valentine's Day or Easter. I remember it was one of those holidays. We've had plenty of opportunities to put it away already but I'm holding out. Why?

I NEED TO FINISH EVA'S STOCKING!

If I don't finish it before I put away all of the Christmas decorations, the chances of it being done for next Christmas are pretty slim. I've been working on it a little bit each night and I'm finally seeing real progress. I think I'll finish it before Carl leaves for his trip to Long Beach (Feb 5th).

Or, when is Easter this year?

  1. Christy, you are crazy! IS this a real Christmas tree or a fake one?

  2. It's fake. And it doesn't have hardly any decorations on it. It's a skinny "decorative" Christmas tree standing by the piano. I was telling Carl that it looks nice enough we could leave it up all year! We're not, though. That WOULD be crazy!

I think you could decorate it for Valentine's Day.

  5. Hey, I agree with the decorating! Hearts for Valentines, shamrocks for St. Patty's, and eggs for easter??

Hey, this is totally not related, but wanna be a little bad and go see Chris Daughtry on a Sunday (March 4th), here in LINCOLN? He's playing at "knickerbockers" here in town!

  6. Wendy--In Sunday School this week we talked about Jesus being tempted (Matthew Chapter 4). Get thee hence!

*of course I want to go*

I mean, let me discuss it with Carl.

  7. Hey guys just an FYI Chris Daughtry is from Greensboro NC. That is my old stomping grounds. Only the best American idolers come from NC :)

  8. Matt had sent me the email telling me about it. . .with a note saying "Too bad it's on a sunday". . .so I emailed him back saying "what do you mean 'too bad?'",

we'll just play it off of each other

    "well, Christy is going."
    "Well, Wendy is going."

  9. Wendy-- count me out. I got a total guilt trip and it worked. I reminded him that we saw Neil Diamond on a Sunday (OH MY!) and he said that Chris Daughtry is no Neil Diamond. That's the truth.

Sorry! There's always the State Fair.
