Cards

I've been busy making some more cards. I was really bad about sending the Relief Society birthday cards last year. I ran out of the cards that were made before and I was really slow about replenishing my supply. This year I told myself that I would be better about getting them out on time. But...out of all of these cards, only one is actually for the RS. I'm going to be stamping some more tonight.

  1. Great cards. You have such card making talent. You also have great supplies. Are you your best SU customer? :) Keep up the great stamping.

  2. I'll always be grateful to you, Heather, for being my very first stamp guru.

  3. Love them Christy! I was going to pick my favorite, but I just can't, they are all too good. Is stamp night the 2nd Tuesday of every month? I forgot to put it down in my calendar.

  5. It's the 4th Tuesday now, Deb. At 8pm.

Hollie-don't forget it's Sell-a-bration right now! I'll be putting in an order next week if you want some SU stuff.

All of your cards are wonderful -- you're very creative and have a great eye for color. I'd also like to borrow some of your ideas, if you don't mind. I bought all of my stamps and paper supplies at Michael's and Jo-Ann's, but maybe it's time for me to look into something better like SU.

  7. If you'd like to borrow my ideas, you'll have to find them first! Most of these were copied from from other people or challenges from the Splitcoast Stampers website. So, copy away.

Anne- I'm very color challenged so I appreciate Stampin' Up because their paper/ink/markers/ribbon/etc... all match! Plus, they have a color wheel to help me come up with combinations. Their stamps come in sets, too. That's a help because I have a hard time mixing and matching with my stamps I have from Michaels of Hobby Lobby. You still can't beat the stores, though, for good deals on tools (like paper cutters, adhesive, etc...). SU is still a little overpriced in that regard.

Here's a good link for color combos:

  8. Woo-hoo for Stampin' Up! They are the best! Even if some of their items are a bit pricier than the LSS, the quality is far superior. Once you try it, you can tell how nice it is, and you are hooked. I am a SU! snob now I am afraid.I love it! Thanks to you Heather...and you go girl Miss Nelson!
