We had a good time in the snow this weekend. The kids loved it. We had to drag Eva in but her little hands were just TOO COLD! I have since made her some mittens so she should be able to last a little longer next time. I took these pictures on Sunday before it was done snowing. We got quite a bit and it is really pretty.
About the mittens, I made some for Eva and they turned out great. I started a pair for Caleb and I ran out of yarn before I started the final decreases on the second mitten. I was using up some of my stash wool (Cascade 220) and I didn't have anything else close to it. I mentioned to Carl that I could just rip out the 1 1/2 mittens and start over making them just a little bit smaller. Then, Carl said something to me that I don't think I've ever heard him say before.
"Just go and buy some more yarn."
Okay. No problem.
Okay. No problem.
Great snowstorm! We miss you. It looks like you had a great weekend. I'd save Carl's comment for future reference!
