Modular Knitting

Two months ago at our knitting guild meeting, we had a program on modular knitting. A lady in our group had written a pattern for a vest using the technique and I knew I had some yarn that would be perfect for a project like this. So, I started one. I finished it last week and I wore it for the first time today to our meeting.
I used Jo Sharp Silkroad yarn in 5 different colors. I love how they look together. I wish I was rich enough to buy enough of this yarn to make a blanket. But, the wool/silk/cashmere blend was just barely the right price at 40% off to make this!

I have some new knitting projects on the needles and one that will very soon be a finished object and can be modeled by the very experienced Eva.

  1. I love the vest Christy. It looks very good on you. I'd love to see the yarn in person. Too bad! I'm glad you posted. Not many people have been blogging today.
