Cute Stuff

I'm pretty sure I'm going to look really cute in this. It's reserved because she's custom making me another one and I'm going to buy them at the same time to save on shipping. The custom one is going to use fabric #36.

I think I may have to rethink my stance on sewing and maybe take it up as another hobby.

There are so many cute things I could make. I guess maybe I should find myself a sewing machine. While I'm at it I should probably find myself some time to use it. And, some time to finish projects I have going from my other hobbies.

Looks like I may just stick with getting my cute sewn items from etsy.

I'm planning to sell my sewing machine. I don't know what you're looking for, but it's a good basic machine, a good brand (Viking). I was going to list it this week. Let me know if you're interested in knowing more...

  2. I love Paisley! That is way cute! And I just found that Etsy website the other day. I actually heard about it from my Woman's Day magazine. There was a site in there as well for yarn called www.smileysyarns.com and I thought of you.

  3. That is definitely cute. I love the "do not buy unless you are crafty conservative!" Awesome.

You might want to check the relief society closet for some old sewing machines. It's a long shot, but I got a top notch 30-year-old Bernina (they're the tank of sewing machines) for free when they were cleaning out the closet in California. It seems there was a big push for the RS to have sewing machines back in the day but no one uses them anymore.

  4. Hmmm...I have a key to the Relief Society closet! Mwah ha ha. Actually, I don't think our ward has a sewing machine. That's okay though, I really don't need another hobby at the moment.

Christy, as a recent sewing convert all I have to say is

    YOU NEED A SEWING MACHINE!!!

I got a used Bernina, which I love, but if I were you I'd look into tana's Viking. They're awesome too.

Oh, and some day I will send you your papers you won. I thought since it was around your birthday, I should send more than just the papers. So I started gathering things. I'm postally challenged. I'll try to get it out this week....
