Scripture Sunday

Yesterday I had Smart Habit Saturday and today I'm doing my own idea of Scripture Sunday!

Today in Sunday School we discussed 1 Corinthians 1:10-13. We were on the subject of how contention and divisions affect our fellowship in the church and how we could be more unified. When it was cross-referenced to Mosiah 18:20-21, that is when the discussion really got interested...at least to me!

Verse 21: And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another. *underline added by me

Having "hearts knit together in unity and in love" brings up such a wonderful image in my mind. There was a short discussion on knitting--how it is one strand but it makes up a whole, even different types of fibers knit together work well together and are strong, etc... It made me really wish I had taken a little project with me to work on.

In Relief Society we talked about goal setting and I was feeling good about having just made a new goal yesterday! I did go to sleep by 10:30pm last night and it felt great!

I just have to mention how good the kids were today during Sacrament meeting. Okay, they weren't perfect. Eva had to be taken out a couple of times. But, Caleb was pretty good. They didn't knock the hymnal case off the pew like they normally do and I did get smacked in the face but there was no blood. I'm making it sound bad--but compared to how it normally is, we got off pretty easy today. We're looking forward to having a nice day tomorrow with Carl home from work.
