All Aboard
I've talked a lot of Caleb and Eva's first trip to the dentist. I don't know what I was so scared about. They did so great! I think part of it was that I chose an awesome office (pure luck). Southwest Pediatric Dentistry is all about trains. You get a ticket to go back to see the dentist. They have this train (in the pics), a huge plasma tv, and video games in the waiting room. When you go back, they have a tv screen for each of the chairs and the staff are all really nice and accommodating. We were the only patients when we went in for our visits. The dentist is ridiculously good looking. I try not to stare. We'll see them again in April!
Eva has some baby teeth that are fused together. We call them "monster teeth". She's got two pair of them. We knew it wasn't any big deal but they are going to watch them closely when it is time for her teeth to fall out.
Speaking of teeth falling out, Caleb lost his second tooth last week. We also found out that he has his 6 year old molars already! He's only 4 1/2. I've been joking that if he keeps developing so early we're going to need to buy him a razor soon!

I was looking at these pictures with my kids and they said, "Awesome, I want to go there." 7 and 1/2 hours is aweful far for a dentist appt., but maybe....that is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm sending a link to the post to my sister whose husband is a dentist. That place looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of fused teeth before. I guess it means less flossing.
My dentist is good looking too. The paper mask kind of ruins the effect though.
Wow, sounds like a fun dentist appointment.
ReplyDeleteHow old was Caleb when he got his first tooth? I'm just wondering when to expect it from my kids. Emily really wants to start loosing teeth.
Caleb's teeth started coming in really late. When he had his 1st birthday he still only had just 4-6 teeth. Then they all came in with a vengeance!
ReplyDeleteDental appointments are getting more user-friendly. My generation hated them and feared them; to your generation they were no big generation; now they are fun, even! That's progress.
ReplyDeleteCute pictures. (Cute kids!)
... I mean "...no big deal!"
ReplyDeleteThat is AMAZING. I'm amazed. I didn't think he was that hot. I was trying to decide if I would say someone was hot on my blog...Brett was offended (not really) one time when I started a conversation on my family website about who everyone thought were the hottest actors. hee hee.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you take your camera on dental appointments! It's really great that you have such neat pictures. Those pictures are Christmas card material!
