If you'd like to participate in this week's installment of I Made it Myself, please take a moment to review the guidelines here.This week I spent some time with my sewing machine to finish up a few little knitting project bags I had been thinking about. A while back in one of the swaps I participated in, Periodic Mumbling made me a knitting project bag. I love it and use it all of the time. I thought I could probably figure out how to make some more so I took some measurements and got to work!
This is what I came up with. I didn't add any handles to this one. The drawstring cinches up enough that it is just the right size to carry on my wrist. I didn't think ahead enough to take pictures of it during the day. I will when I get ready to list it in my etsy shop. Yes, this one is destined to make someone else happy. I made a matching one (with handles) that is currently on its way to the county fair for some harsh judging!
I love the colors of the fabric. It is no secret that I'm a fan of lime green! I think this bag has just the right amount!
The bag is fully lined and measures about 10" X 10". Just the right size for a sock knitting bag or even just a cute bag to carry around your little treasures.
This was so much fun to make!

ReplyDeleteI got the fabric at Hancock's, I think. These really take no time at all and I'm making myself "work" on my crafting at least 6 hours a week so I can have a good supply for my shop and upcoming craft fairs.
