If you'd like to participate in this week's installment of I Made it Myself, please take a moment to review the guidelines here.
This week I spent some time with my sewing machine to finish up a few little knitting project bags I had been thinking about. A while back in one of the swaps I participated in, Periodic Mumbling made me a knitting project bag. I love it and use it all of the time. I thought I could probably figure out how to make some more so I took some measurements and got to work!
This is what I came up with. I didn't add any handles to this one. The drawstring cinches up enough that it is just the right size to carry on my wrist. I didn't think ahead enough to take pictures of it during the day. I will when I get ready to list it in my etsy shop. Yes, this one is destined to make someone else happy. I made a matching one (with handles) that is currently on its way to the county fair for some harsh judging!
I love the colors of the fabric. It is no secret that I'm a fan of lime green! I think this bag has just the right amount!
The bag is fully lined and measures about 10" X 10". Just the right size for a sock knitting bag or even just a cute bag to carry around your little treasures.
This was so much fun to make!
So, what did you make this week?

Christy, where do you find the time! It looks great. Where did you get your fabric?
ReplyDeleteI got the fabric at Hancock's, I think. These really take no time at all and I'm making myself "work" on my crafting at least 6 hours a week so I can have a good supply for my shop and upcoming craft fairs.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cute, Christy! I love the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric, really cheerful! Great bag.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation and hope your cold has gone.
So cute!
