I Made it Myself- Baby Sweater

I was digging around the archives and my flickr photos to see what I've made lately that I haven't featured yet on my blog. This was one project that got skipped by accident.

My friend, Brenda, sent me a huge box of yarn and other goodies from her craft room. Included were some skeins that she wanted me to make into a sweater for her (then unborn) baby. The pictures don't really show the true colors but it is lime green and navy. It is a great little cotton sweater.

She has since had her baby and he was a whopping 10 pounder. I hope his head fits through the hole. That is my downfall in sweater making and I may just have to stick to cardigans for babies from now on. I'll probably see her during the Christmas holidays so I may have to do a little sweater rescue at that time.

Do you have something to share this week for I Made it Myself? Do it here!

  3. Hi Christy!
There are TONS of great places in the city, it depends what you are wanting to do. If you don't mind paying money there is the brand new Acadaemy of Sciences. It is like an aqaurium and is located in Golden Gate park. They have the Japanese Tea Gardens and many other cool gardens and the beach there is fun too. Golden Gate park is free, but the Academy and the Tea Gardens cost money. I think you are going to have BEAUTIFUl weather. It has been gorgeous out here. Another place we love is the Exploratorium. It is located next door to the Place of Fine Arts and for free you can just enjoy the gorgeous park there with tons of ducks and Swans AND it is right next to our favorite beach off Chrissy Field that has a smokin view of the Golden Gate. The Exploratorium costs money, but is WELL worth it. There is always the zoo and a neat aquarium off of Pier 39. Pier 39 is fun. It has a lot of great palces to eat and touristy shops and of course the famous Seals. My boys LOVE the carousal and the jumpy thing... They have a fun farmers market right on the pier as well. Just north of the Golden Gate bridge is Muir Woods and that is really cool to see. I hope this helps. Do you have family in Sacramento? Have a wonderful visit!
