Separated At Birth?
I can't help but think of Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeover anytime I see LazyTown.

ReplyDeleteand I have to laugh everytime I see Sporticus from Lazy Town---all his moves I think he stole from one of those professional aerobics competitions on ESPN. Never seen 'em? VERY interesting. . .and a little creepy.

wendy-- The LazyTown guy is actually an aerobics champ in Iceland. I read his little bio on the LazyTown site. Once I read more about him...the show seems to make sense.
ReplyDeletemary--I am only actually watching one episode of LT over and over. We recorded one and he asks for it all the time. He says..."Bing Bang? Puuhhhleeeeze?" It beats the tubbies so I'm okay.
wendy--i forgot to mention, Sportacus doesn't remind me of Nate Berkus at all. He's too thin and wimpy. I can't imagine him doing a perfect toe touch about ten feet in the air. I could see Ty doing something like that, though.
ReplyDeleteSportacus creeps me out too. So much so that Caroline will turn off the TV when Lazy Town comes on and say "Uh oh, Mommy! You don't like that show." I find his friendship with young pink-haired Stephanie more than a little unsettling-and I hate all her other annoying puppet friends.
ReplyDeleteTy, on the other hand, is another story...I think him leaving Trading Spaces is when it officially jumped the shark.
Ok, so just that picture you put up of Sporticus' face looked like Nate. Sporticus and dance and eat right, and Nate sure can decorate. Ty just makes me cry (darn that Extreme Makeover Home Edition!!)
