Purple and Plum Giveaway

Almost eight years ago, I was teaching high school in Monticello, Indiana.  I taught Spanish III & IV and really had no idea what I was in for.  I was young and excited.  It was an awesome experience.

One of my Spanish IV students needed a TA position and asked if she could be mine.  I didn't have a class that period but she assured me she would stay out of trouble and do whatever I asked.  She became my "chuzma".  She found the word in one of the dictionaries and it means "galley slave".

That student is now grown up and is older than I was when I was her teacher.  Now I get the chance to be her chuzma and help her introduce her shop to my friends.

Jennie opened up an etsy shop with her friend, Lyndsey, and have been making headbands, clips, and all manner of cuteness.

To entice you to check out their shop and give them some feedback, they are offering up these great hairclips as a giveaway.

To be eligible to win:  Go to their shop, look around, and then come back here and leave a comment.  In your comment tell us what your favorite item was, give them a suggestion to help them with their shop, or ask them a question.  That's it!  If you can ask your question in Spanish, I'll give you bonus points.  :)  I'll draw a winner on Saturday, March 7th.

Boy, it's been a long time since I took high school spanish!

  2. The red satin bow clip is my favorite. It looks so modern and retro at the same time!

Suggestions: more pictures, more description (size, materials, etc.). Some items say "contact us for custom colors" -- how about a chart that has the colors and use that as one of the item photos?

Question in Spanish: ?Dónde está el baño? (heh heh)

  3. I LOVE the purple felt teardrop hat. I don't know where I'd EVER wear it...but it's adorable!

  4. Oops...I forgot my suggestions. The photos could use a little "model" action - it's hard to get a feel for the size of the pieces without seeing them on a chubby little head!

    I don't know spanish - I'm a french lady :)

    Me gusta mucho!
    Tienes bolsas?
Alright, that doesn't count. However, I LOVE the little button barrettes. So whimsical! I would totally wear those. :) I also love the teardrop hats.
My suggestion - more products, and as you get them, classify them: hats, barrettes, purses (hint hint).
    Fun stuff!

i really like all of it.
I would love to see some photos of people wearing the hats and the headbands to get a gauge of what size they are on the head. and where you're supposed to wear them (the hats) etc. but i do love all of it.

  8. These are so cute!

I'd suggest adding sections even though they don't have a lot up in their shop yet: headbands, barrettes and hats.

¿Dónde está el foto de azul y marrón barrette"?

I liked the Dressy Navy Headband.

    My question:

¿Cómo se dice espejo en japonés?
