1. laundry
2. organize my craft room
3. vacuum
4. cook something adults like to eat
Granted, I could be doing a few of those things at night when the kids are in bed. But those things can wait a few days and other things (aside from posting on this blog) are a little more pressing at the moment. I really, really love my work but I'm starting to feel like I need a vacation!
Carl will be home one day and then we have houseguests. He said he won't skip work but that he'll do my bidding from 5:30pm-midnight to get the house to an acceptable level of cleanliness. I'm just hoping for a clear spot on the floor big enough for an air mattress. I think we might be able to handle that.
I can relate to this SO very much! Dave worked his final night shift today. Thank goodness. It's been a LONG three months.
ReplyDeleteOn an unrelated note, if I sign up for The Clutter Diet, can I let them know you referred me?
(I keep having dreams that people are ringing my doorbell for house tours and I'm too embarrassed to show them around the place. I work at a historic house museum and my own home is a mess. You don't have to be Freud to know where THOSE dreams are coming from...)
I wish I were closer. Then I could come help you (and ignore my own house). Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I'm amazed at what we mamas can do when we have to. I hope the next week goes as smoothly as possible for you!
ReplyDeleteI completely and totally understand. I fantasize about having time to clean the bathrooms without interruption. It's quite pathetic.
