Sock-A-Month KAL

I joined the sock-a-month KAL that is being hosted by Knittinmom. I've read her blog for a while (it's the "next" one on the Knitting Parents of Young Children ring) and was so excited to see this KAL start up. I've been knitting a lot of socks lately. They're so portable and fun. Here's my January pair.

Pattern: Lichen Ribbed Sock from Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks.
For: Sugar Daddy. This is the last time I'm making him anything, though, until he can prove himself "worthy" of hand knit gifts. He has only worn his professor vest a couple of times and I've been telling him to wear it or let me rip it out. I can make a lot of things out of that yarn!
Yarn: Brown Sheep Wildfoote color: Zane Grey

I'm going to post some pics of the kids while I'm at it. I might not be blogging much this week since we are going to Long Beach again. The hotel we're staying at this time charges for internet service so we're not going to do that! There's a hot spot not far away where we can go and use the laptop but the chances of me getting to do that (and have the time to blog) are pretty slim.

Here's the sweet Big Apple. I tried really hard to get her to have a big toothy grin. You can see the bottom teeth but you're missing out on SIX top teeth as well! She's only 10 months old and is starting to look like a little grown up.

Frog is "Flippin' Sweet". I bought him this Napolean Dynamite shirt (mega-clearance!) because of my sister. This pic is for you, Lisa.

Last, but not least...a pic of both of them! Plus, a bonus! That's my big butt in the background knitting another pair of socks.

  1. Have a great time in Long Beach! Will you be back before Frog's big day or will he spend it in CA?

  3. Great socks, and those are some cute kiddos! And I love the house you found, too. I am a huge sucker for old homes. I wouldn't be able to leave the city, though, myself. Good luck with your decision!

The pic of BA is the best I've seen. I set it as my computer background and it cheers me up to look at it.
