Here's my Lorna's Laces sock (generic pattern) waiting to go whale watching. No sock was harmed during the puking aboard the boat.
In other knitting news, I finished one of the socks I'm making for my sister, Lisa (also known as "loser" when she comments on this site). I don't have a decent picture of it. I'm using an earth-toned Koigu and the Child's Fancy Silk Sock pattern from Knitting Vintage Socks. I love the scalloped edge on the cuff.
House news: we are about ready to make an offer on the Victorian house. Need a reminder? Here's a pic.
We went and saw it again tonight and had a look in the garage (which was locked the first time we went). Our realtor had been on vacation and didn't have the last bit of information we wanted before we placed an offer so we're going to do that on Wednesday. Wish us luck!

oh i hope you get that house! it's lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo everything worked out with the community demographics? That's awesome. Good luck with the house.
ReplyDeleteI did check the demographics on the other areas we were looking at as well and they were almost just as white. Luckily, we have a good church community that is pretty diverse and I will have them involved at the YMCA, too.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that the sock had a little better time whale watching than you did.
ReplyDeleteWhale watching trip $50
snacks for the ride $5
Seeing hubby puke first over the side--priceless
Puking in private--doubly priceless
Good luck with the house. . .I'll keep my fingers crossed!
How exciting!! But the biggest part is...do you get the throne? :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is Bek BTW, I just forgot to log in...

Nope, no throne! It was gone when we went to look at it again. Bummer. They should know that we're lowering our offer because of that! j/k
