Do you May Day? I had never really heard of this until we moved to Nebraska. The first couple of May Days passed me by. Not this one! I was prepared. I made a few little paper cones filled with pixie stick flowers and attached a ribbon hanger.
Before we left the house, I had the kids practice with Carl. We had some extra time in the morning because Caleb didn't go to school until 11am because of an appointment. I told them to go to the door, put the treats on the knob, ring the doorbell, and run away!
They had a lot of fun! I'll have to make sure that I don't forget to do it next year!
Don't forget---today is the day to decide whether or not you are going to do your duty as an American (please read a little sarcasm into that) and stimulate the economy by coming to Girls Weekend!

I wish I could come to girls day, but unfortunately it is right in the middle of John's week and a half trip to North Carolina. :( The funny thing is that he just got back from Kansas. One of these times things will work out better for me to come.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmm. I've never heard of the custom, but it sounds like fun. The pictures of the kids are cute. Looks like they had fun with it.
ReplyDeleteThey were so cute! Thanks for coming to my house! I, however, was completely unprepared. . .there's always next May Day!!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this tradition and think it is something I must plan to do with my kiddos next year. You think of everything Christy! Why can't my mind work like that?
