I'm fighting a losing battle around here. I purged a huge trash bag worth of toys this morning and got the floor clean enough to vacuum. This afternoon, the floor is back to "normal" (where do all these toys come from????) and Caleb and Eva thought a food fight with graham crackers was a good idea. Carl hasn't taken the recycling out for a couple of weeks so I'm fighting with an endless supply of cardboard and I have bags and bags full of stuff to be donated that is just cluttering up the house.
By the time Carl gets home from work, I'm pooped and the last thing I want to do is clean up...again. I'm afraid I'm going to have to suck it up and get it done because this evening is my last chance before my mom, stepdad, sister, and nephew come to visit this weekend.
Minor victory: Eva's been going potty pretty regularly for the past couple of days. She still has several accidents a day but she's trying. That is good news.
*I have a couch that needs a new home. It is my plaid one that is in our upstairs living room. One of the cushions has a rip in it but otherwise it is a good couch. My mom is bringing a different one to us (that matches the chaise) so I've got to find a new home for the other one. If you know of anyone local that needs a couch, let me know. If I don't have any takers, I'll freecycle it.

I know how you feel about the toys, I think they multiply in the night.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! Trying to clean a house with three kids is like trying to dust in the middle of a tornado. That's why I don't clean much, ha!
ReplyDeleteYou mean we're actually supposed to pick up the toys? And I thought I was doing good being able to clear a path from the door to the bed.
ReplyDeleteOne of my friends told me this quote the other day, I don't know who said it but here it is. "Trying to clean a house when you have young kids is like trying to shovel snow while it's still snowing."
ReplyDeleteP.S. - You're it! Check out my latest blog entry http://jlandthensome.blogspot.com/2008/02/ive-been-tagged.html for details.
