SWAMPED!
I'm swamped in the most excellent way possible. People love my ornaments. I'm sold out on my etsy shop and I even have a few special orders (for 10 more--some Nebraska, some OU). Every year I think that if I would just make a few a month I would be ready to go for the holidays but then every year I figure I have plenty of time. It feels really great to be "working" again. Everything listed in my shop right now is already made so I don't have to worry about anything there. I'm not going to relist any ornaments until I'm done with these orders and have a few more ready to go! Almost every day for this week I've had at least one order or special request. What is most surprising is that 75% of those have come from people that don't personally know me and have just found my shop through product searches on the etsy site. Love it. Makes me wish I would have started my shop sooner!

yay! congrats on your etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteThose are too cute! What a great idea for the leftover sock yarn.
ReplyDeleteFound you through Ravelry NaBloPoMo
This is fantastic! Just think of the sales you could make if you had some glow in the dark knit ornaments! Seriously, congratulations.
ReplyDeleteCatherine--YOU'RE NOT KIDDING!!! ;) Glow in the dark ornaments might make it into my etsy shop next Christmas. Along with some sweet headbands for you and Merrill for when you're out running or biking at night.
ReplyDeleteYou're making me want to think twice about getting and etsy shop. I'll stick with what I've got for now, but depending on how serious I get, I might switch over. I'm happy you're getting such good business.
ReplyDeleteGood going, Christy! Have fun making them. What a brainstorm! Glow-in-the dark ones sound promising.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Etsy sales!!! How exciting for you! Keep up the great work and YES to glow-in-the-dark ornaments. :)
