The real reason we went to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving this year was to be able to see my mom and Greg be sealed in the Oklahoma City Temple. I hadn't been to that particular temple yet (it was dedicated a month after we moved to Indiana) so it was nice to be able to see it. Another bonus was that President Gillespie performed the ceremony. He was the patriarch of our stake when I was a youth and was later called to be a mission president in Mexico while I was there (different mission). Melessa was there and blogged about it, too.

Greg is the best stepdad ever and has always treated my family as part of his own. The kids sure love him...probably as much as the ducks and Peter---and that's saying a lot!

  1. That's great! I love their picture. They are a very cute couple.

  2. oh Wow. How fantastic that you guys were there!

  3. Sounds like a wonderful occasion.

While my parents' divorce still smarts a bit, my mom's husband is probably the nicest man on the planet, and I'm so glad that he's in our lives. :)

  4. Thanks for being such a wonderful supportive daughter!!!
