Scarf Dilemma

I'm having a heck of a time coming up with a design for my International Scarf Exchange pal. She doesn't get snow where she lives but it does get a bit nippy in the winter. She didn't give me a lot to go on in her questionnaire (which can be both good and bad). In this case at this very moment---it's bad. I want to get something started before we leave on our trip (we're going to Philly tomorrow for 5 days) so I can have it to work on. My other projects aren't easy to travel with. I'm not saying I won't travel with them. It's just harder to take those on a train, for example. Am I riding a train to Philly? Nope. But I will be riding one to NYC for a girly day with my SIL Connie. I'll have two hours of knitting time with no kids. I have about 90 minutes until Caleb comes home and I want to have a design ready to go and started before he gets off the bus. Better get cracking.

I'm sure you'll come up with something stunning as usual. Have a great time in Philly and NY. And take lots of pictures, please!
