I can't believe this is bothering me as much as it is---Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, is dead. You can click on the link to read the article for the more precise details but he was stung by a stingray and the barb pierced his heart. I feel somewhat better that it wasn't a croc that killed him. He loved those animals so much.
I'm a little freaked out and sad for his family. He has two kids (8 & almost 3). I guess I had to know that something like this would have happened to him and I'm sure his family was always a little worried about him, but I'm still shocked.

ReplyDeleteRyan just called me from school and told me! I couldn't believe it. Then, I had to call and tell Kellie. She was like, "What, no way"! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteVery sad.
What a loss! He was an unusual person and seemed very congenial. He certainly had guts.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness... this is the first I've heard about it. I always thought a croc would get him. So sad. Have you seen his daughter? (she's the older of the two) She is so adorable and just as brave if not more so than her dad.
ReplyDeleteI know! I was shocked. At least he went doing what he loved. Miss you. Shanna
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe it. So sad. We watch wiggle safari all the time. "Crikey it's a croc!" So, sad. He will be missed.
