Dreaming of Gold

Just a little over a week ago, I started with some yarn and a dream.
I'm a day behind schedule but this is what I have now.

I can't believe how beautiful it looks...even before blocking. The pattern says that if I like it the way it is, I don't have to add the border. I do like it the way it is. All it needs is a good blocking to be done. But, I also have 5 days left to finish it. What do you think? Let your voice be heard.

What's next for the Snowdrop Shawl?
Block me. I'm already good enough for the gold.
Add my lacy border! You've got 5 days left you coward.

  1. BEE-YOO-TEE-FULL!!!! It is exquisite, truly. Aren't you glad you didn't just do socks? You're right, it is great the way it is, but I bet it would make you weep from joy if it also had its border. Do it! Do it! Do it!

  2. You'll love the border, it takes no time at all to block. You can still make it!

You know what, you will really appreciate the extra time spent on the border - it makes all the difference in the world. Also, I LOVE the color you picked for it. Bold and expressive.

  5. Um, no offense, but I think I hate you. You could have at least made it look ugly! I'm such a snowdrop shawl dropout! Seriously though, I'm sooo jealous!
