So, I've been blogging a bit about our adoption status. Here's the absolute latest! We've been chosen by a birthmother!!!! Guess what? She didn't even see my super-cute profile!
Anyway, we're really excited and we're due March 3rd. Gender unknown. Race: Hispanic/African American. Apparently, my background as a Spanish teacher and the fact that we already have an African American child put us over the edge with the other prospective adoptive families. Yeah for us!
I'm allowing myself to get excited about this and enjoy it...even though nothing is really for sure until those papers are signed after the baby is born. I understand that. But, I don't want to be in denial about that fact that in just over a month I will become a parent for the second time! Wahoo!
