For months I've had something I needed to do. I neglected it. I pretended it wasn't very pressing. It continued to nag at me. It was a giant weight on my shoulder.
I had overdue library books.
Not just overdue library books. Fines. We had fines on every library card in my wallet (3).
Today I paid them all. I turned in every overdue book. I'm free.
I turned over a new leaf because I appliqued a simple word on a simple bag.
What did you do today?
I would have to take out a loan to pay off all my overdue fines. It's horrible!
